Corruption in Toilets: Rs 2.30 Crore Spent on Painting & Maintenance

 Bhopal(Saifuddin Saify) On one hand, education department officials are taking bribes to issue completion certificates for incomplete toilets. On the other hand, the lack of toilets in government schools across the state has exposed shameful scenes that mock the claims of Swachh Bharat and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.

A budget of Rs 2.30 crore was released to build toilets for girls in 788 government schools of the state. However, in many places school principals spent this amount on furniture and wall painting of rooms. As a result, girls, along with their female teachers, are forced to go to open fields or hide behind walls to relieve themselves with the help of their friends.
